Illinois fair catches the 2nd half kickoff at their own 7 yard line. Goes 3 and out and now Sparty has the ball back.

Fair catch would have brought it to the 25. He just caught it and didn’t move, so he was ruled down for “giving himself up”. Boneheaded.
 



Illinois fails on 4th and 1 in their own territory (much like we did against them). A simple win over Illinois would have us in the driver's seat right now, but nope...

The ball hit the ground, so I figured that somehow figured in. He clearly was hoping it would bounce out of play...

They were 4/4 vs us on 4th down

If they go 2/4 and MBS catches that touchdown vs Purdue we are 8-1 and number 11 in the country
