That statement applies to pretty much any coach at any level. Most could care less about style points, they just want the W. Fans are the ones that freak out over how the team wins.
That said, what is going on in Iowa is kind of sad. The fact that Brian Ferentz remains the OC with how pathetic their offense is, is a complete joke. Anywhere else he would have been fired a long time ago but because Daddy is in charge he gets to keep his huge salary while overseeing an offense that is just horrible in every sense of the word.
It is truly amazing how often their defense and special teams have bailed them out. It doesn't seem like it should be sustainable but it keeps on happening. They had no business beating MSU but as the game was unfolding it was pretty clear it was going to turn out the way it did as they once again punted their way to victory waiting for the other team to make mistakes which MSU did, over and over and over again.
