Rossi leaving for DC at Michigan St

C’mon! PJ or MN couldn’t beat MSU’s offer?

Bet this will make us lose several coming defense recruits like that LB kid Praz that just went to MSU for an OV! 👎

We can do better. Hopefully we find someone who is a top notch recruiter. Who crap, forgot about NIL. Won’t make any difference. Should be ideal job for a new coach just.starting out. Especially Fickelll ball.

That’s not good? There’s no one on the current staff qualified to replace him is there?

Watch the portal now. Was just feeling pretty decent heading into next year. Lateral move has to be more than just money.

Yep that's how it works. If you lose a player to another team it's because of money, but if you lose a coach to another team? It's because of some hidden reason.

It's just that rivergopher, coaches changing teams, many with current contracts, is what started all the movement/portal stuff in the first place.

Find out his contract with Minnesota and then what he's getting at MSU. Then we might know.

Can and will PJ hire a proven DC? Or will PJ hire inexperience with his fingers crossed? Would proven DC want to work for PJ? Rossi should have been one of the top paid DCs in the B1G.

Worry about our defensive verbal commitments now. Does the timing indicate a little jab?

Has to be a money thing. Definitely lateral within the Big Ten

Could also be he has a tie to the new coach you went negative on it.

There’s a big issue here. Way too many coaches leaving for lateral jobs.
I don't agree that MSU is a lateral position. MSU, while currently down on its luck, has had a lot more success in the recent past and appears to have more resources than Minnesota. But I don't see it as a huge step up. Agree on the concern about assistant coaches not wanting to be here.
