I've only seen snippets of Travis. Is he as athletic as Devean George? I saw George a few times when he played at Augsburg and while I never thought he'd be drafted in the first round, I wasn't surprised he made it as a pro. Late bloomer who had unbelievable athleticism.

he has adequate size and athleticism to be a high end NBA point guard. Comparable potential to John Stockton,Chris Paul, Mark Price , Steve Nash.

Completely different players. George was more of a natural 3. Developed a role in the NBA as a hard worker, hustler, defender and could nail the open jumper. Reid is more of a physical beast in the post. Most of his buckets come from inside 5 feet overpowering opponents and beating the, with positioning, although he is developing a nice face-up game and I hear he's even started taking (and making) more 3s.

Maybe Josh should back out of Zaga and join Travis at the U
 

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but Reid is taking his official to Duke this weekend.

I'd honestly be shocked if he didn't commit during/right after. Duke just seems like the perfect school for what he is reportedly looking for.

Unfortunately I agree. It sucks they can just jump in and get a commitment from him whenever they wanted. I can't stand Duke and the possibility of Jones and/or Travis playing for them makes it even worse.
 

I don't know that Duke is perfect for Travis. I don't think he is a legit NBA prospect, and that's the type of talent that starts at Duke so he is probably going to play a lot less there than at most any other school on his list. The Duke offense is catered to spreading the floor and having four 3-point shooters out there at once, and Travis can shoot the 3 some but I don't know that they will get the ball to him where he is most effective at close range very often - again, I would think all the other programs on his list would be more inclined to maximize his opportunities to produce. I think it's a matter of whether he wants to be at a top-10 program where he is a supporting player or a good (but not top-10) program where he can be the BMOC. Usually recruits will pick the highest profile program that wants them and doesn't have a guy at their position in the same class.

Looney has an official visit to Tennessee scheduled for this coming weekend, and officials to Michigan St. and UCLA scheduled for October. He may visit Madison again in October as well. I would not expect a decision from Kevon until pretty close to the signing date, which i bleieve is early November.

Early signing period this year = 8 days beginning November 13. As much as I'd prefer that Wisconsin doesn't get Kevon, he would be an excellent addition for the conference.

GW, IMHO an excellent addition for the conference is someone not good enough to play for the Gophers.

"Kevon Looney is expected to announce his college decision on October 31. Apparently that's his brother's birthday."

I would obviously love to see Looney in Madison, as he and Dekker could make a great combination in the Badgers' frontcourt for as long as they'd be there together.

Doesn't he have school?? How does that work, does he just get called out of class to go talk with Pitino?? That would be sick!

Another hook-up? How long until they make it Facebook official?
 

Guessing it would be during an open period. At least that's when people used to hook up when I was in high school.
 

It really is pathetic what these people seem to go through.
