Turn on Liberty right now to see a real CFB offense

Even Jerry's NMSU running offense looks pretty good. Lot's of motion, lead blockers, traps and fakes. It might not work as well with the beast DLs at the Power 5 level, but it's pretty fun here.
Both these offenses look great because both defenses are really bad

New Mexico State's freshman backup QB looks much better than AK ever did

Jerry Kill runs 5WR nowadays once he got out of the culture of the Big Ten West
Playing against really bad defenses help offenses look better

This awesome offense you talk about has 7 points against NMSU. What's so great about that?
Huh? 49 pts and counting! Willy Korn was good with Coastal Carolina and Liberty and Kaidon Salter are looking pretty good. Kaidon would have 2 years left of playing too, not just 1 grad year.

Liberty was #1 in C-USA in yardage defense and NMSU was #1 in C-USA in scoring defense.
Thats like saying that Spain was the nicest fascist state in 1930s Europe

New Mexico State has the 48th best defense against the 116 SOS
Liberty has the 38th best defense against the 133rd SOS

It’s not the stiffest competition in the world, but 700 yards of offense is impressive not matter how you slice it up. The gophers did not have 700 yards in their last 3 games combined

I think the gophers would run for 350 yards on both these teams. But might lose the game anyways

Jerry will always break your heart. Simply look at the wreckage in his life. Sad.

Liberty was explosive. They've been explosive all year.

There’s no chance Chadwell and staff would ever come to Minnesota, but why can’t we run this style (ground and pound Triple Option) offense at Minnesota?
But are they winning the time of possession battle? This is the key to everything!

Is NMST the only team to play a 13 game schedule? They’ll have 15 after the conf championship and bowl game.

There are some others...rule is if you play 13 you need to win 7 to be bowl eligible.

I think teams that play at Hawaii as a non conference game have the option to play 13 games. NMSU did (and lost)

Hawaii also played 13 (5-8)

Seems like weird logic that the solution to a super long road trip is filling your bye week with another game

Yes, you can see the old Bierman films era that cut-blocking was most of the blocking.
You can do it either cut blocking or not. Back in the 80s the two best teams in division two were NDSU and USD. The former ran the option mostly cut blocking and the latter ran it and never cut blocked.
