Years going to Gopher games: 46
Years of season tickets: 33 plus 4 as a student

Rose Bowls: 0
‘Big 6’ Bowl games: 0
Big Ten Championships: 0
Outright Big Ten West Championships: 0

Chances of any of the above four outcomes this year: approaching zero.

Me: Doc, it hurts when I cheer for the Gophers.
Doctor: Don’t cheer for the Gophers.

I'm still watching and a fan forever, but will admit this one shook the foundation.

If I have to be positive it's that I think the core problems from the last 2 games on defense can probably be fixed. My guess, without a deep breakdown of film, is that something is going on in our coverage schemes that is being exploited.

2 weeks in a row the primary problem has been one no-name receiver exploding for a monster game out of nowhere. Something specific is going on in coverage, either a player or a scheme. Just a guess.

Still a lot of season left and I still have hope for plenty of wins. Move forward, beat Louisiana then get ready to fight for some victories in the Big Ten.
