The All-time University of Minnesota NFL Team

Terrific, but I was just replying with what the article said. "Both would have been quarterbacks in today’s NFL." I have no idea. Maybe "very good" was wrong by me. I don't know.

Point being about lack of QB's Minnesota put in the league. And the article talks a little about it. Not advocating anything.

Thanks, I agree with that.

I just think that its hard to say that a guy (Stephens) that only completed 33% of his passes and threw only 13 TDs to 27 picks would be a QB in todays NFL. Dungy was a 46% passer and also threw more picks than TDs. He might have pulled it off. They both could run, and maybe that's where the writer bases their opinion.

Side bar, Joe Namath was a godawful NFL QB (50% passer 173 TD 220 int), but he's in the HOF for having played in New York and having a SB win. Jets don't win that game and he's hardly remembered.

Stephens and Dungy were both athletes, leaders and each a man among men. Always in my heart.
