***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT MARYLAND IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Isn’t Thorson supposed to be a defensive specialist? I think he may need to go if that is the case.

Maryland has a bunch of senior guards going against true freshman. I wouldn't look too far into why they are able to get to the rim so easily.

Okay never mind, this is the same as the first Maryland game.

73% shooting for the Terps on 4 and 5 footers. Play some defense!

M plays good D. Their best D guy on Bsttle. Other guys have had decent looks but can’t get it done.

That’s fair. It’s how I’d defend the Gophers

If you can eliminate Battle or Garcia from the offense they can’t score enough to compete with how they play D.

It wouldn't even seem possible to be that bad. Absolutely zero defense by the Gophers. Garbage.

Mostly but some bad offensive decisions contributed too.

So its all good. 2025 is going to be amazing! Earlier in the season the last 5 games were going to be awesome.

Who said that?

Fact is that Maryland is playing five seniors, a junior, and one sophomore. The Gophers are sporting two juniors, one sophomore, and four true freshman.

I can’t decide if Henley was a positive or a negative that half. So erratic

The Gophers rank 326th in FGAs per game, 300th in Field Goal %, 340th in 3pt %, 363rd in free throw % and 343rd in free throws made per game.

So not only do they not get a lot of shots—they are terrible shooters.

Even with a year of maturity and a talent infusion I’m not sure this offense works.

Well the Gophers had one really good defensive possession around the 12 minute mark.

Maybe they will have another one the second half.
They were fine the first 10 mins. They absolutely sucked after. Announcers said 2nd media timeout was the line.
