Coyle never saw this coming.

This was a great summary. I did not foresee the Gophers coming in last place for scheduling considering this should be Ben's best roster so far. Really puts a perspective on things.

Yes.

#362 of 362. (see team sheet)

It still strikes me that this is even possible if you are trying. It’s a major blot on the program and must be improved by light years next year.

Lots of talking head conversations about the place of non con schedules in seeding (Iowa State as lowest 2 when smart people thought last 1 or first 2). Not sure about selection per se. Hard to believe a bottom rated non con schedule ever gets chosen, but I suppose theoretically possible.

Yes.

#362 of 362. (see team sheet)

I guess it got rewarded…

You people obsess over the wrong things.

First off...who cares. Returning everyone for next year is all that matters.

And...#362 or #50 non-conference schedule usually makes very little difference. Like for the Gophers next year...a home game vs any team outside of the top-20 shouldn't be anything to be fearful of.

Unless you’re a season ticket holder paying to see terrible teams play the Gophers.

Unless you’re a season ticket holder paying to see terrible teams play the Gophers.
It was a stellar bunch we saw this season. The 11 non-conference opponents combined to go 2-9 in their conference tournaments, with 2 that didn’t even qualify (Ball State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff).

Nowhere to go but up!

Unfortunately, I don't know that it will improve since no good teams are going to want to play is because of the preseason top 25 ranking we are going to have.

I checked the non-conference results of every Big Ten team below Purdue & Illinois...and NONE of them were anything special.

I just checked Purdue & Illinois.

Purdue had a very good non-conference.

Illinois had 2 tough games...and lost them both.
