1) We have a 3 year old football stadium that has only been filled to capacity ONCE thus far. The students haven't been showing up, game day atmosphere is nothing compared to what was promised. The tailgate lots next to the stadium are half empty prior to the games, frat row (University Ave) is a non-entity, etc. Only at the very first game, against Air Force, did we come close to what it is like at virtually every other Big 10 stadium on game day. What is it going to take from the University Administration, to the new Athletic Director, to the Head Coach, to make Gopher football relevant again to the whole state of Minnesota?
2) With the two major sports (football and men's basketball) only posting one winning Big 10 season each in the last 10 years, how do you and the new A.D. plan to address and prioritize the new requests for a baseball stadium, new basketball practice facilities, and the possibility of replacing Williams Arena? AND (part 2) are you re-thinking the idea of priority seating for basketball considering the waning interest in that program.
