All Things Class of 2015 Recruiting - Class Finally Complete? Nope Chris Obekpa visit

Jarvis had a big game, nice to see, I found it odd that Illikainan and Bertram combined for only 25 minutes but the Kentucky team had only one player over 6'5" and he was only 6'7".

Did not watch the game but if Jarvis was playing point and he only got 1 assist that is bad and Travelers shot 7-18 from 3 and that seems like bad outside defense too....

Pulley couldn't hit a three last night, but if Anim and Johnson cannot shoot, then it's not too surprising. Let's get one or both of those guys and hope they can get a respectable outside shot.

If anyone has watched the Pulley games this year then maybe you'll know what I'm talking about... Sometimes it seems like Jarvis is visibly upset on the bench & most of the time it appears to be a result of coach Harris. Now, I don't have any insider information on that or am saying Harris is a bad coach, but he does seem to be up and down with Jarvis' playing time which may mess with his confidence.

I think once you get him to Minnesota to play for Pitino who will work on his shot with him, get him stronger & make him an all around better player he'll be a stud at the next level. Like many people have pointed out, Jarvis has the natural athleticism & basketball IQ to be very good.

Go Gophers!!

Are they watching ball, or visiting rehab facilities?

This is like the exact opposite of the Clarke conversation. Jarvis is probably having a summer that is funneling him right to us while Clarke is having the summer to funnel him away from us....

6. Alex Illikainen, Grand Rapids (MN), 6’9 PF, class of 2015: Timing could be key here. The versatile big man said he’s keeping a close eye on who commits where because he wants to play right away. He’s been a high priority for Richard Pitino at Minnesota. Ranked #110 in Rivals’ latest top 150, released at the end of June. He’s playing for a very good Howard Pulley team in this week’s Peach Jam. He’s put up nearly 11 ppg on the EYBL circuit heading into this week’s finals.

2. Alex Illikainen, Grand Rapids (MN), 6’9 PF, class of 2015: Alex is at the Peach Jam this week with his Howard Pulley AAU team. Howard Pulley won their first game today defeating Meanstreets 57-53 with Illikainen scoring seven points and grabbing four rebounds in 23 minutes of action. The key for the Friars in landing Alex will be to get him on the PC campus during August.

You've never seen an AAU game before have you? You'd think passing wasn't allowed if you have.

I just don't see Jarvis as a PG, off guard with penetration skills, if you have a PG that shoots the three I can see it working.

Reel them in Pitino!! Looks like we may still be going after Williams!

Not that anyone partakes in the terrible act of tweeting at recruits... but if you do...

@Chris_Clarkee

Edit: Not that anyone cares about rankings... but if you do... Clarke is 37th overall by 24/7, 64th overall by Rivals, 5 star by Scout & 4 star by ESPN

Jarvis also had 20 in another game.

I'm going to be so sad when we don't get him :(

Also, that probably should have been an offensive foul and maybe even a technical/flagrant, but I love it. Getting him would be like having a Trevor on the wing.

I see what you're trying to do there... Say one thing, have the opposite happen likes its always been recruiting-wise on this board. *Fingers-crossed*
And anyone who's seen Clarke live knows he's a physical beast! I bet he'd be a killer DB if he played football.

It would probably be a foul on the defender except he got the punishment. I would hate to see a play like that result in a flagrant, just a good physical play.

Kevin Dorsey had 9 points, 3 assists, 2 steals today. Did not play in the friday night game. Also had 9 points, 2 rebounds in a Thursday game, 6 points and 4 steals in the other thursday game and 8 points in the other friday game.

I love the steals. That's important stuff. I'm not worried about assists in AAU.
