Nope that wouldn't be a good pitch. I think you can show that a player is a priority for your program and you will be more invested in that players development than competitor school X. Obviously, different pitches work for different kids, but telling someone that they'll just be another player at competitor school X makes your program look weak and inferior.

So he's really not cutting his list down then if he's releasing a list of 8 schools Tues, Wednesday and Thursday then... I'm gonna guess that he meant he'll cut his list to 8 schools either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

Or maybe he's cutting his list to 8, but isn't releasing them all in one day? Pretty ambiguous tweet.
 

It's still pretty early for him so I wouldn't be surprised if he was "cutting down" to 24 teams. He is one of the top big men in 2015, I'm sure he has a lot of offers. The fact that he took an unofficial here and it went well would seem to suggest we'd make that sort of cut down. If its actually 8 teams, which I kind of doubt, then who knows.

Yeah seems early to cut down to 8 teams. A 24 team list is also enormous though, even for a top player. Guess we'll find out soon.
 

Jason Jordan confirmed Thomas is cutting down to 24 after someone asked him in a tweet. I'm guessing we'll make it. So you're telling me there's a chance...

Yeah....looks like his girlfriend lives in Bloomington. That might explain the unofficial visit this summer. The plot thickens.
