All Things 2012 Gophers in the NFL Thread

It stinks that the injury basically dooms Du'ane's chances of playing anywhere this year, but hopefully he can bounce back and stick somewhere.

per Shooter:

Marc Trestman, the former Gophers QB who has taken the Montreal Alouettes to three Grey Cup championship games and won two, is off to a 5-3 start and leading his division this season despite losing his defensive coordinator to Purdue and his offensive coordinator to the Toronto Argonauts.

Trestman, who is from St. Louis Park, will be an NFL head coach someday, and sooner rather than later.

Go Gophers!!

The audacity of the Broncos to cut their #2 qb.

Adam Weber got picked up by the Bucs practice squad.

Great 77 yard punt return for a TD by Sherels as the Vikes look to get a big win at Detroit.

Go Gophers!!

Giving examples of former Gophers doing well is no way to argue with the people who dwell only on those former Gophers that don't.

You, of all people Bleed, should know that. :)

@gopherfootball: Eric Decker also caught seven balls for 79 yards and one TD yesterday in Denver's win. #Gophers

Go Gophers!!

"@vikingsfootball: #Vikings CB Marcus Sherels is the only player in team history with both a punt return touchdown and a sack."

Go Gophers!!

The Sacramento-Las Vegas UFL game is on CBS Sports Network right now. Anthony Jacobs is #97 for Sacramento and Simoni Lawrence is #52 for Las Vegas. Of note, former All-American from Michigan St., Gregory Jones III, is #53 for Las Vegas. And MN native, Dominique Byrd is #86 for Sacramento. There's some other names that ring a bell also.

Looks like "The Curse of Jamal Harris" struck Eric Decker. Only a Gopher could screw up a clear path to the end zone.

He made up for it though. Good night for him 6-98 with a TD.

Bleed, is there a publication you don't check on a regular basis in case their is a mention of something past, present, or future Gopher related? I commend you on your unrelenting diligence.
