Look! More empty seats.

I'm fairly certain that the temporary seating will be chair back as opposed to benches, so it won't look quite so stark when finished.

Look! More empty seats.

One question: Do you and/or Ski U Master even have season tickets for Gopher football? Or are you the types who simply watch on TV and then make commentary on attendance as though you are actually there at the games in person. If not, might suggest toning down some of the snarky personal commentary on whether or not these seats will be "empty" come Gopher football season. i.e. Be a part of the problem or be a part of the solution.

Cheers. Go Gophers! Ski-U-Mah!

Well, I can't speak for Ski U Master, but I will tell you this: Yes, when I am actually there at the games I am in person myself...always!

I am at the majority of the games, usually buy tickets from 3rd party folks due to them being easy to get for cheap. My season tix are for Hockey.

Edited for grammar. Twas early and was without coffee in the system. :p

In reply to a Tweet of mine, @MyGopherSports stated that in fact the temporary stands will have bleachers, not chair back seats. My bad earlier.

Back in the old days, we were happy to have bleachers to set our asses on. Now the spoiled fans need frikking backrests. What a bunch of pussies.

...and this is why you have that reputation as a hard-ass.

I biked past TCF Bank Stadium the other day and, in fact, there are chair back seats on the temporary stands after all. Something that may not please many people at this board is the color of these seats which is not maroon or gold, but rather a shade of blue that's very close to that of the Metrodome's seats.

If they did they would see a bunch of babies! Pathetic!

So now people can't think that temporary bleachers, set up in a place that wasn't supposed to have any seating, are ugly? Says who? I think they're ugly and look out of place and messy, especially considering how clean and nice that area is supposed to look. Sorry, but that's not throwing a tantrum and it doesn't make me a baby. It's simply an opinion. Dr. Don, supadupafly, and yourself should maybe relax and quit jumping on people for their opinions.

I don't mind the opinions. It is all the whining and crying that goes along with it. They need to suck it up:rolleyes:

The beauty of temporary bleachers is that they are ......(wait for it)...... TEMPORARY!

So it's ok to use your opinion to jump on people who express their opinions about the whiny and bitchy opinions of others.

Ok, now it is clear to me.

KARE 11: TCF Bank Stadium nearly ready for Vikings and NFL

"We're adding heat to all the bathrooms right now," adds Ellison. Heat is needed to keep pipes and fixtures from freezing. Other pipes in the concourses have been relocated to interior areas.

"The Bank" was never meant to be a winter stadium, flirting with it only once when the Vikings played there for a single game after the Metrodome roof collapsed.

The Gopher's locker room will not change for the Vikings. It's perfect just the way it is, and much bigger than the Vikings were used to in the Dome.

Besides, most of the emphasis will be right where it should be - outside.

"How can you beat outdoor football in Minnesota in the fall," smiles Ellison.

The purple with maroon and gold just looks awful. Probably will look better with purple in the stands, but really wish they would have kept the endzones maroon and gold.

Agreed. Is it really that terrible for the Vikes to acknowledge they are playing in the Gopher stadium?

Does it really affect your lives. It's a god damned football field, that is all.
