What they are saying about the Gophers on the Fresno State Bark Board

Well lots of whining about the refs and how we held on every play. No talk about the reviews that didn't go our way. There were two other turnovers we almost got and the game wouldn't have been that close.

Any acknowledgement of the gift they got with the roughing call for the hit on their QB? Great acting job by their kid. Bull**** call by the refs ... especially coming several seconds after the play with the QB rolling around like someone stepped on his nuts, but miraculously able to come back one play later. Worst call of the night.

In my opinion, something needs to be done about players faking injury. Defenses are doing this on purpose, to slow down up-temp offensive schemes. It's disgraceful.

Update the rules so that if the trainer/doc has to come on the field, then you have to sit out 3,5,whatever plays. Maybe even rest of drive! That might be a bit much though...

We see far more egregious holding and even tackling to the ground never called, so... Technically holding could be called on just about every Big Ten team on just about every play. It’s a staple of the Wisconsin run game. There is an understanding that it’s ok to hold for roughly a half a second to three quarters of a second. It’s a bit of an art.

There was an over confidence that after crushing the Idaho Vandals that they consider the Gophers a team that they could possibly blowout, a bottom feeder. Victory was in the bag. It was just a matter of whether it is a blowout or a close score.

Yeah, they Bulldogs are a dangerous team. Yes, they had speed. But, they overlooked and possibly surprised that the Gophers also had speed and talent, and their linemen and defensive secondary are no cupcakes.

This is a pivotal game for the Gophers. Kudos to the Gophers coaches for the excellent teaching and coaching.

Welcome to the Big Ten.
