I'm talking B1G tournament now. But what happens if:
7. Ohio State 9-11
8. Minnesota 8-12
8. Illinois 8-12
8. Rutgers 8-12
8. Indiana 8-12
with Nebraska, NW and Penn State ending up at the bottom of the conference. Looking at the schedules, it could easily happen.
Minnesota 8-12
vs. Purdue L (if Purdue wins out the win the B1G all by themselves)
at Maryland L
Finish 8-12
Illinois 6-11
vs NW W
vs. Indiana L
@ Penn State W
Finish 8-12
Rutgers 6-11
@ Iowa W
vs. Penn State W
@ Indiana L
Finish 8-12
Indiana 6-12
@ Illinois W
vs. Rutgers W
Finish 8-12
Ohio State 8-10
@ NW W
vs Wisconsin L
Finish 9-11
One of the 8-12 teams would be the 11th seed and have to play the first day....
