What grade would you give the Gophers defense in the win over Illinois?

A "B". The statistical results were impressive, but the Illinois offense is putrid. The Gophs defensive weakness is at the edges, but the Illini either didn't try or didn't have the athleticism to exploit that. Let's hope the "D" continues to improve. That was fun!

Almost went with a C but in the end gave them a B as I wouldn't say they were average (C).

Went with B. Still gave up some big plays but did a much better job overall and managed to get some good pressure on the QB throughout the game.

It was their best defensive performance of the year. It gives me some hope moving forward. Illinois was short handed though, let’s see if they can repeat it against Iowa. Solid B.
