Week 2 Other Games Thread

A Gophers loss would have meant a sub-.500 B1G west division day. All at home. All non-conference. All against unranked teams.

At this point, is it safe to say the the Gophers should be considered at least 2-ish point favorites for their Northwestern and Purdue home games now?

That quarterback for Hawaii sure has opened the season on fire. Already has 13 touchdown passes with no interceptions. Last week the coach said something like, "The only things he ever thinks about are football and his hair." Must have some long locks.

Mich State is clearly down and need to figure some things out. No idea how good Duke is, but perhaps NW and Purdue just aren't as good as we might've thought. Purdue ... wow! Though maybe E Mich is legit contender in the MAC this year, coach might be a good candidate for a P5 job.

Nebraska obviously not the way they wanted to start. Penn St sure fired back up though.

Hawaii has to be to surprise of the year so far. They've looked great. And their QB has been outstanding.

Already 3-0 this year, beating Colorado St on the road and Navy and now Rice at home. Tough place to travel to and play, of course. But Colorado St just beat Arkansas. So maybe Hawaii is really legit this year! They go to Fresno and to San Diego. Get Wyoming at home. At BYU for a non-conf game.
