USA Today: Projecting the 2017 records of all 130 FBS teams (Minnesota: 4-8; 2-7)

If the Gophers only win 4 games, PJ Fleck is officially in over in his head and can't coach in a power conference.

Did you say the same thing about Richard on the BB board after the 8 win season too?
It will be disappointing if 4 wins is all they can muster this season but that won't mean PJ is in over his head.
Unless of course they are in complete disarray and get blown out in all the losses and squeak by in the 4 wins, which will not happen.

I could see this. Kill and Claeys were bad recruiters and we are basically starting over again. The Big Ten is really not that good except at the top but with the new facilities and coaching staff we may finally get to where we want to be.

Go Gophers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The O Line is probably pretty solid if they can stay healthy, the depth is the problem.

If they OC is as good as advertised, the QB is not as big of an issue as some think. The staff can call a game to account for a skittish or inconsistent QB, by feeding the fall to Brooks and Smith 50 times a game and throwing low risk play action passes on a defense back on its heels.

Yes the secondary is questionable, but he Safety position is pretty solid and if Smith can work some Jay S. like magic, the CBs might get a lot better fast. They showed some promise in the Holiday Bowl.

As previously discussed, the great depth at LB will help the D line if Smith can call a game like Jay S. did last year. Richardson staying healthy and Stelter stepping up would be huge.
