Directions:
For fans coming from the West, they will eventually have to drive on College Ave. or Atherton St. If you're on College Ave., don't turn
. If you on Atherton headed South, you'll be turning right on College Ave. If you're headed North on Atherton turn left on College Ave.
In any case, you want to drive West on College Ave. (also known as Hwy. 26). You will pass the Penn State Golf Courses; the light at that intersection is Blue Course Drive. The next light is nearly 1/2 mile. That is Science Park Road. Bear right (it's a turn lane) to Science Park and drive roughly 2/3 mile. You will see a sign on the left that says Chemcut Corp. DO NOT turn at the first drive. Go up the slight rise and turn at the second drive just beyond the building.
For those coming from the East on 322: After you pass the 28th Division Shrine, the next intersection is Hwy. 45. Turn left and continue roughly 4 miles to the T intersection with Hwy. 26. Bear right onto Hwy 26 and drive roughly 2 miles to the third light, which is Science Park Road. Turn left. Drive roughly 2/3 mile. You will see a sign on the left that says Chemcut Corp. DO NOT turn at the first drive. Go up the slight rise and turn at the second drive just beyond the building.
Penn State has agreed to designate the smaller (right side of building) parking lot at Chemcut Corporation, 500 Science Park Rd., State College, as the UMAA parking lot for the game on Saturday. There are two parking lots at Chemcut. Folks want the entrance to the right of Chemcut's building at the top of the rise. There is a sign that says "Deliveries" at that entrance.
Penn State will provide regular shuttle service to the game. Of course, anybody that parks there has to have a valid parking permit for the game, or pay when they enter the lot. The lot is big enough to hold a couple RV's and 50 or so cars (plus some illegal parking).
Management of Chemcut has been kind enough to give us access to the restrooms in the building. Please be on your best behavior when in the building.
