They played their heart out!! Was a great game to watch. Gabe is sure streaky with his long shots. When he's on he's on though!

Missed opportunity at getting a win in a tough place. Here are a few thoughts about the strategy of the game.
1. Carr needs to give up the ball more. It can find its way back to him. Trust your teammates to play support roles. It isn’t the 5 best players it is the 5 players that play best together. He tries to do to much on his own.
2. Is Greenlee that bad that he can’t spell Carr a few minutes here and there? This is where Pitino backed himself in a corner with his schedule. It did not give Greenlee much of a chance to get game action.
3. The turnover by Carr at the end of regulation probably 8 out of 10 times is called a foul. Purdue was trying to foul. It looked like official Terry Weimer was actually out of position as he was ahead of the ball which would give him a poor angle on the reach from behind. If the foul is called Carr is shooting ft’s to ice the game.
4. I do like the perimeter defense and toughness of this team. Their post defense needs improving. They got beat up inside by Purdue.

#3 with a bullet. I believe calls even out over time so just consider missed calls part of the game, but that can't be missed.

On #3, Carr should have been dribbling it up the court instead of horizontal in the back court. He probably would have gotten fouled and it would have been called. That said, it was still a bad missed call.

On #4, easy hindsight, but they should have done more offense-defense subbing with Oturu after he had 4 fouls. He had to let Haarms have 3-4 easy dunks. Even if you put Freeman in for a couple of those, he can give a hard foul and make him earn it.
