You know what thail?

If we get a game like that, I am just going to stay away from this board
for at least a few days. I am going to just find something fun to do and let the
Pollyannas tell everyone how great the team and coach are. And to be honest,
I am really not going to be pumped to see this team play again until they can
get their offense straightened out.

Man, I hope they can play a game like they did vs. Michigan St. When you think
about it, that was the only good game they have played in the last 5 games!

That may have been the only good game they played this year from a total team perspective. I'm not sure what to make of that. How can you look so bad and still be 6-5?

well on paper we should get murdered...be we all know in college football paper don't really mean much.

I think this matchup is statistically more interesting than I would have guessed. Iowa's offense is not terribly impressive - but they are going against a Gopher defense that hasn't statistically held teams in check. If the Gophers could get a studly effort out of the defense they could at least keep the game interesting.

What is terribly worrisome however is the Gopher offense (dismal) against the Iowa defense (very strong). If the offense struggled against SDSU, I shudder to think what they'll do (or not do) against Iowa. But that said, if the Gophers could get a defensive or special teams TD or two, force turnovers, and come up with an overachieving defensive effort, the game could be fun to watch.

My prediction though it that it won't be close - though I sure hope I'm wrong!
