Search Committee

So we know that Tony Dungy is on the search committee charged with finding the next head coach and today Maturi said the decision would be the athletic director's to make.

Who else is on the committee?

Is it primarily athletic department staff? Trustees? Whatever guys with football knowledge Maturi can round up?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Sid Hartman won't be involved in the decision...

I could be reading this wrong, but the way I understand it, there will NOT be a formal search comm:

Joel came out today and said that there would not be a formal search committee. From the STrib article:

Maturi said that the final decision in hiring a coach will be his. And Maturi discounted the notion that Dungy would head an organized search committee, saying such a process would hinder Minnesota's ability to move quickly in finding the right coach.

Thanks, I must have misunderstood Dungy's involvement when listening during the presser.

So, we're not hiring a search firm either then?
