This story doesn't give financial details but sounds like it is a 1 year deal. Probably not for big money but it is another year collecting an NFL paycheck. Plus he has been in the league long enough to collect a pension when his playing days are over.

Not knocking Carter at all, but back in the day if you would have asked me, between him and Cashman, who'd get the big NFL contract....

Yep, along with Ryan Connelly (linebacker) that went to WI. Kinda amazing to think of a MN high school football team with 3 future NFL LBers on it.
