Wolverines Wire is first out of the gate:

5. Minnesota

After beating Wisconsin for the second-straight year, Minnesota should get a solid bowl game just below the New Year’s Six tier, such as the Citrus Bowl.

Go Gophers!!

Buckeyes Wire chimes in:

6. Minnesota

It was an up-and-down season for Minnesota, but mostly up that ended on a pretty high note with a tough win on the road vs. Wisconsin. There should be a decent bowl awaiting the Golden Gophers.

Go Gophers!!

Nittany Lions Wire chimes in:

6. Minnesota

Last game: Won at Wisconsin, 23-16

Last week: 7

The Minnesota Golden Gophers showed a lot of pride this season and will have a winning season under P.J. Fleck after a second-straight rivalry victory over Wisconsin. Mohamed Ibrahim had one of the best years among a strong list of Big Ten running backs this season tp help carry the offense that battled some injuries.

Go Gophers!!

Saturday Tradition chimes in:

tie-5. Minnesota (8-4)

Last Week: at Wisconsin, W 23-16

There were plenty of letdowns for Minnesota throughout the year, but PJ Fleck does deserve some respect and a lot of credit for 2022. The Gophers rebounded time and time again while rolling with injury punches throughout the year. Fleck produced his 3rd win against Wisconsin, gave Minnesota back-to-back wins for the Axe for the first time since 1993-94 and has the Gophers in a position to play for back-to-back 9-win seasons.

Go Gophers!!

247 chimes in:

7) Minnesota (8-4, 5-4 Big Ten)

Minnesota went 0-4 against teams listed above it — losing to Purdue, Illinois, Penn State and Iowa — and it benefited from not playing Michigan or Ohio State this season. But the Gophers certainly took care of business against inferior opponents and won a 23-16 game at Wisconsin to close out a third 8+ win season for P.J. Fleck, who is now 21-13 in the Big Ten the last four seasons. Fleck has turned Minnesota into a consistently solid, middle-of-the-pack Big Ten program that has finished tied for second or better in the West in three of the last four seasons. Now, the program will look to continue to build off that standard after losing long-time starting quarterback Tanner Morgan and all-time great running back Mohamed Ibrahim, who was one of the more under-talked-about stories of the season this year as he rushed for more yards (1,594 yards) and more touchdowns (19) than Blake Corum a year after an Achilles injury.

Go Gophers!!
