Last Sunday's Sports Huddle with Jerry Kill was one of the more informative shows in recent weeks.

Dave Mona recognized GopherHole.com when he asked three questions that had been submitted in a similar thread last week. He also had a question related to Marcus Jones, as a result of another thread.

If you have a question that you'd like to be asked on the weekly show, please submit in this posting. No guarantees that'll it be used, but I'm confident Dave Mona will look at the questions and will consider them as possible questions for Sunday's show.

Thanks in advance . . .

Go Gophers!!

Some are predicting a big year for NIU Jordan Lynch. What did Jerry identify in Jordan Lynch out of high school -skill, knowledge, desire?

What are your expectations for the offense this year? Do you anticipate a grinding move the chains offense or an explosive big play offense?

How do you decide on position changes? Is it based on the makeup of the team and filling a need or do you see something in a player that tells you he might have more success at another position.

Will you be passing to your tight ends over the middle this year? It seems all of your passing game is on the outside

Have all the incoming players successfully passed through the NCAA Clearinghouse?

To add to Halsey: This is the most athletic group of TE's the U has had in years. Are you planning to use 2-TE passing sets in this years offense?

Of the incoming players, who do you see as having the most impact on the 2013 squad?

Will we be seeing a lot more Maryland I this year?

Do you or your coaches ever read the pre-season predictions in the various sports magazines, just to see what they say about the team? (and how much do you laugh after reading them?)

1. What is the QB situation? Is it Nelson's job to lose? Will he go with the hottest hand adding Leidner at times? What are Kill's QB plans?

2. Limegrover and Kill both made comments that the QB would be running a lot less this year...but in the scrimmage they both ran like crazy. Is Kill still sticking to that?

This goes to LB depth, Is it reasonable, to expect a JUCO transfer to pick up the defense with just Fall Camp? Realistically how soon can we expect Devondre Campbell to be playing significant minutes in the LB rotation.

Has anything changed in practice and strength conditioning to try to reduce/mitigate injuries, especially on the offensive line?

Any updates / signs of improvement in the kicking / punting game?

Do you monitor or limit defensive line snaps per game and for the season?

Is this team able to put teams away in the first half and first two series of the second, allowing second teamers a chance to get meaningful playing time?

Will you release all time records or current best in the 40, squat, bench press, 10 yard dash?

Do you expect to be able to stop the run with the front seven?

With Larry Fitzgerald and other NFL players working out at the U this week, how much time do Gophers players spend with them, working out, getting pointers, picking their brains, etc.?

Is it true that Mottla is out permanently - or did I misunderstand and he is out for now?

Coach Kill mentioned he needs some playmakers on each side of the ball, some players to step up. Does he feel like we have them on campus now, or potentially coming in this fall, to be competitive in the B1G this year?

It sounds like Mottla will not play this year. Can you describe his rehab and if he'll attempt to receive a medical hardship waiver to play in 2014?

If Peter Westerhaus is not able to participate in fall camp do you see him joining the team later this fall or is it more likely that he will sit out for the rest of the year?

Do you or your coaches ever read the pre-season predictions in the various sports magazines, just to see what they say about the team? (and how much do you laugh after reading them?)

To add to this: Do you ever use these type of publications or anything on tv, newspaper, etc. to try and motivate the players (i.e. bulletin board material)?

Another one: Have you had a chance to enjoy any of the 10,000+ lakes since moving to Minnesota?
