per Greder:

Minnesota will retain its leading scorer in Jamison Battle, get Isaiah Ihnen and Parker Fox back from knee injuries that kept them off the court this season, while freshmen Treyton Thompson and Abdoulaye Thiam will have added a year of experience.

The Gophers currently have four high school players in their 2022 recruiting class — forwards Pharrell Payne and Joshua Ola-Joseph, and guards Braeden Carrington and Jaden Henley.

“Probably, we will look in the (transfer) portal,” he continued. “I think it’s something that, again, has really helped us this year. It’s got to be the right guy. If it happens to be the right high school guy, we won’t not take him, but I do think we are going to look into the portal to get some experience. To get a guy who understands this is what we do and how we play.”
