If they want to be eligible to play in the 2022 season they need to enter by EOD May 1st. So players could enter now, but it's unlikely as they wouldn't be immediately eligible.

Good to know. I know Abner Dubar signed with a fcs team two years after entering, but that’s probably rare even for FCS.
