The Good?: A remodeled Mac Court (Matthew Knight Arena) makes its debut with the Basketball Travelers Tip-Off. The tourney should get the Ducks off to a 3-0 start, much needed after last season's last-place Pac 10 finish.

The (not so) Bad?: Oakland surprised the Ducks last season in Michigan, and the Golden Grizzlies appear capable of doing the same this December.

The Ugly?: Ernie Kent, already under fire (I fail to understand why), better start the season by sweeping through the Basketball Travelers, or the wolves (including Phil Knight) will be circling early.
