Average RPI of Opponents: 158.5
Average RPI of Home Opponents: 173.5
NCAA Qualifiers (3): Illinois, Missouri, Western Kentucky

The Good?: If you need a prime example of how I think the Gophers should have set up their nonconference schedule, here it is. Similar school (middle-tier BCS), similar tradition (both have 10 NCAA appearances and a unique arena) & both have similar expectations this season (NCAA). This has everything I like/respect in a schedule. ... a nice blend of BCS opponents (4), BCS home games (2), top-100 opponents (5), the kahones to play a quality mid-major outside of your home arena (St. Mary's & Western Kentucky) and -- perhaps most importantly -- it's clear a serious effort was made not to schedule a cupboard full of "RPI killers" at home. Please notice the home games, with most of the second-tier opponents in the #150-200 range. Well done, Mr. Stallings. You've done the Collinsville Kahoks proud.

The (not so) Bad?: The 'Dores have a pair of dangerous games vs. Sun Belt opponents, Middle Tennessee State and mid-major power Western Kentucky.

The Ugly?: I really can't find much fault with this schedule. I guess the negative is if Vandy loses to Cincinnati in the first round of the Maui, a non-DI opponent (Chaminade) likely awaits in Game 2.

I count 3 tough opponents in tourney at neutral site, 2 tough road games, and 7 easy/1 hard home games.

Pretty similar to Gophers' schedule. 3 tough opponents in tourney, 1 tough road game, and 5 easy/ 3 decent home games.
