It is apparent that we know what to look for when it comes to RBs.

Taylor is great.

Evans is really really good

We have 2 former RBs playing well at Oregon and Penn State.

Mo owns a ton of RB records that may never be broken.

A definite strength of this staff is finding really really good RBs.

Recruits know that they’ll have twice the number of carries compared to any other team. That’s the one thing we have to sell, and probably why top QB recruits go elsewhere (they know PJ-led team will never average more than 20 throws per game).

Then stop losing games because of a lack of skilled running backs.

See Purdue, 2022. See Northwestern 4th Q, 2023. How many games did the Gophers only have one viable option and thus pinned their outcome on giving one back over 25 carries Surviving on one talented back may work, is not elite, and is one of several components that results in zero championships in most of our lifetimes.

NIL and the transfer portal are why we'll never see a title. Have to rely on finding one superstar back willing to hang around for a chance to exceed expectations because we have literally zero chance against the haves. That's not the staff's fault.
