Other games

Woodbury just poked another guy in the eye. McCaffrey can claim it is an accident once or maybe twice, but this is a trend now.

I'm not sure what he was doing there, the announcers are confident it wasn't on purpose. But why do you raise your hand towards the face of a guy as he is driving toward the hoop?

He's nothing but a gutless punk.

Not quite sure how that is a aggressive foul. Looked like he got all ball. But we have to look closer again.

Exactly my thought. The ball hit White in the face, not Wells' hand. I'd argue that it wasn't even a foul.

D'Angelo Russell is the best player in college basketball as far as I'm concerned. I believe he has future NBA star written all over him.

He's another one of those guys that you love him when he's your coach, you hate him if he isn't.

Sort of. He's embarrassing in ways like Brew was, and I was embarrassed by some of Brew's antics when he was here.

Northwestern went over 14 minutes without a field goal. Michigan St. is killing them.

As usual, Bo is having his way with the refs. For once, Tim Miles has every right to be pissed.

I'd argue Miles should worry more about the ugly basketball his team plays. Awful, awful, fingernails on chalkboard type of basketball to watch. How the heck did we lose to that junk?

I thought Nebraska/fans had nothing to complain about in the first half until that bogus call on Petteway for the charge. 2nd half was just physical/crazy and there were stretches where WI got away with some stuff.

That said, Tony Bennett and Bo Ryan's team play great position ball so they always seem to get the benefit of the doubt for better or worse. I wonder if somebody will just do what Nebraska did in the 2nd half for an entire game and go straight at the Badger interior and either get them in foul trouble or just take the somewhat easy baskets since they play a bit off normally.

Taylor Rooks

Would anyone else like to acknowledge that BTN's Taylor Rooks is smokin' hot? Very nice looking young lady. I think her BTN ex-jock co-workers like working with her!

Yes!

Anyone see the ending of the Penn St - Maryland game? Chambers was not happy apparently.

Illinois goes on a little run to take an early 11-10 lead on Wisconsin in Madison. I want to cheer for Illinois, but I feel like it's in the Gophers' best interest that Illinois lose.

I don't care who wins, as long as Wisky loses. :cool02:

This is my first time watching Wisconsin this year. Not extremely impressed with anyone outside of Kaminsky. Holy cow is he good.

This isn't like past WI teams where every guy just shoots 3's and makes them. Their jump shooting has been pretty average so far.

Luckily, again, Kaminsky is incredible.

Dekker is pretty good as well, just isn't extremely aggressive with it. Barely notice he's out there sometimes.

All of this based on this one game and my first time watching them lol

Here you go, includes a vine of the main call in question. Just ridiculous. Not sure it decides the game, but Chambers has a point.

I think he has more than a point. If he gets any disicplinary action for complaining about that call, the B1G needs to be investigated. That was a dirty play by the Maryland guy. He grabbed his arm while he was falling. Foul on him. Not quite poking an eye, but a dirty play that materially affected the outcome of the game. Brutal.

Iowa

What a frigging enigma. Easily the most hard to figure team in the Big Ten. Down 8 early in Evanston.

Their zone offense looks terrible. A lot of indecisiveness and passive play, similar to what we saw against them Thursday.

Should we be rooting for Iowa? Not sure if it's better for us to climb up the big ten standings or for Iowa to be competitive since we beat them.

Ultimately we just need to win, but I gotta know who else to root for situationally if we are building a tournament resume.

Coaches throughout the league are living vicariously through Chambers right now. It was all he could stand, and he couldn't stand no more. Legit beefs about treatment the "lesser" programs get, particularly at the hands of more established programs/coaches. Echoes what Rich said about not wanting to work the officials but implying you almost have to in order to get a fair shake out there.

Iowa's schedule the rest of the year is super easy so my guess is they get to 10 BT wins no matter what happens in this game. Rutgers, NW, and Illinois at home. Nebraska, Penn St. and Indiana on the road. As much as I hate to say it, Iowa winning probably helps us more.
