On Wisconsin......

Nebraska is not a voting member until July 2011, Osborne even re-stated this fact this past weekend. He is allowed to speak and voice their position but cannot cast a vote.

From an earlier post:
"Spoke to Maturi about the same time you did. JM said that they wanted at least 9 votes "for" and the first vote on the alignment (as it is now) was 7-5. After some, as he said, "heartfelt statements"--I assume from Osborne and Maturi--the revote was immediately 10-2."

Where does the 12th vote come from?

I'm not disagreeing with you, and your note about Osborne. If both statements are accurate, the math doesn't work out. Unless the B10 cast a vote.
 


It's very possible, and likely, that the Big 10 gave Nebraska a vote in the division alignment.

It seems reasonable to me that they would give Nebraska a vote on this one issue but not have them in as a full voting member on any other matters until they officially join the conference next summer.
