Finished the work of grading the OL. Overall they played much better. They were more decisive in their movements and played more with their feet than they did last week. We ran more RPO type plays this week compared to last week and I also don't recall running and counter plays vs. EM like we did against Nebraska. The two guards looked much more comfortable this week and played with more aggressiveness. A positive step forward for the entire group this past week. Part of it was the opponent wasn't as tough and part was our OL just played better and moved their feet more.

RUN GAME First Half-Second Half-Whole Game: 24 Running plays in the first half and 29 in the Second
LT Aireontae Ersery: 88%-76%-81% - Only one negative play all game (the same play in second half where the entire rest of the line didn't really do anything either. It was the 10th offensive play of the second half) He really does a nice job of cutting off the back side DL or LB when plays are run away from him
LG Tyler Cooper 79%-86%-83% Played more with his lower body than last week and really did a nice job controlling his man. Also had only 1 negative play.
C Nathan Boe 92%-90%-91% Very solid all game in both the run and pass game. Not as big or physical as JMS, but uses his feet well to gain and maintain position to keep the defender away from the play
RG Martes Lewis 96%-72%-83% Made good improvement over last week. He's going to continue to get better and be a solid force inside
RT Quinn Carroll 96%-76%-85% Very steady all game long.
TE Nick Kallerup: 76%-68%-71%
TE Brevyn Spann-Ford: 75%-82%-78%
TE Jameson Geers: 100%-73%-79%
EOL Karter Shaw: 125%-50%-79%

PASSING GAME - First Half-Second Half-Full Game: 10 pass plays each half
LT Aireontae Ersery: 90%-70%-80%
LG Tyler Cooper 90%-100%-95%
C Nathan Boe 100%-90%-95%
RG Martes Lewis 80%-90%-85%
RT Quinn Carroll 100%-70%--85%
TE Nick Kallerup: 100%-100%-100%
TE Brevyn Spann-Ford: 100%-100%-100%

I included the TE's in the pass protection ratings this week as there were at least 5 pass plays where we only had two guys (WR) in actual pass routes and the two TE's stayed in to help pass protect. There were another 6 plays where BSF ran a route while NK stayed in to help in pass protection. Since the OL was playing well, I don't understand why we would limit the receiving options on so many plays.

Tommy Olson was very complimentary of Cooper throughout the game, especially on running plays.

Great report. Much better performance and even if against weaker competition it shows growth in fundamentals and execution.

They are only going to get better.
