Given to the program favored to win the conference championship that ends up spinning completely out of control. First the Lighty injury, then the blow out loss, now Anthony Crater is bailing after not starting enough during the non-conference season. Not good for them.

And yes, this has happened to other teams in the Big Ten before, but Indiana is the most recent and most dramatic example, so they get the fictitious award named after them.

Let's be clear that there is no scandal at OSU as there was at Indiana.

Lighty is likely to return at the end of January, but there are a lot of tough Big Ten games until then as OSU's schedule seems to be front-loaded. They'll right the ship when he gets back & make the NCAA tourney, don't worry about that.

Undoubtedly, they have very talented players, but aren't playing as a team. It seemed like they only ran a play twice during the entire WVU game. The guards kept trying to penetrate on their own, while the other 4 players were waiting for a pass - but picks weren't being set and no one was moving without the ball. The coach was frustrated, but the players weren't responding to him. If they keep this up, they'll certainly be the underachievers of the year.

OSU also gets 6-foot-8 Serbian transfer Nikola Kecman eligible on Jan. 6th and that will help them. I think OSU will be a Big Ten contender right down to the end. They could well win the league title.
