***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT PURDUE IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

MBS had a good game. This was a balanced offensive attack by the Gophers. Very tough playing conditions. A good game by the D. Just a good win. Banished a really bad loss (BG) from their minds; didn’t let it haunt. Ended the 0-17 streak in games when trailing at halftime. This was a hard fought game, and a win to feel good about.

Goals for the bye week:
- Hope that Wright can be back and motivated after the terrible loss of his brother.
- Get CrAB fully healthy.
- Develop some level of consistency on offense.
- Draw up some more creative plays. A Kramer pass on that last drive could have ended the game earlier. Leak a TE out in the flat to try and surprise them. If it’s not there, just eat the ball and run.

PJ and coaches much more disciplined today in playing for field position. It turned out well in the end. It can only work with good special teams and winning the turnover battle...which they did.

Not a fan of Fleck's game day coaching but give him and his staff credit for adding Pinkney, Gibbons, Wright and Trickett via the transfer portal! Three of those guys were big reasons for the W today and we know Wright has already and will contribute in other games.

Take a look at the blocking on that first TD by Morgan. I was a thing of beauty, especially after last week. Tanner could have stood there for 5 minutes.

Crawford had a really good game. His punts, in this weather, and with Purdue’s ability to move the ball, really were needed. He came through big. Did well as the holder of FGs in really bad conditions, too. I’m starting to feel a lot better about our ST play …

CAB never had a catch after his TD did he?
I think he was the receiver that caught the ball after it was bobbled in the air. We were a yard short and it became 3rd and 1

He was bombing the ball today in aweful conditions! Great post!

Yeah. They didn’t let bowling green beat them a second time by laying and egg today

Add Val Martin to the list. Not a lot of stats, but ate up a lot of blockers and showed out well.

A hell of a per catch average: 2 catches for 105 yards (52.5)
If MBS is starting to come into his own, and CAB comes back after the bye week healthy, and Jackson continues to progress … and Dylan Wright can recover from the anguish of the loss of his brother (🙏), maybe our passing game will be for real the rest of the season. We threw a few TE passes today, with success, too.

Take away the drops today and add in CrAB and Wright and it might actually be a decent passing attack.
