OK, I'm early, but I can't help it. I'm super pumped. This is a huge opportunity for the program to demonstrate we're making big progress and to do it against one of our rivals will make it that much sweet. I HATE IOWA!!!!!!!!! Let's get after it.

What do you call an Iowa fan with half a brain l??

Gifted....

Is it too early to complain about the kicking game?

(reverse curse!)

Latest weather ... light rain with winds from the SW at 15 to 25 mph. Hope the kicking game can keep it together.

I'm at 'the hole' having some beers and there are about 15 obnoxious Hogeye fans here. Already too much to tolerate!

Are they the dish washing employees?

I have that night before an ironman triathlon anticipation. I really have no clue what to expect from tomorrow's events...

I rode my bike through the U of M, Downtown, then Uptown from 6 to 7 and I was surprised to see zero in black and gold colors. Many of the most annoying and obnoxious Iowa fans more often than not live here in some suburb, though. The Iowa fans I have encountered in Iowa City are much more tolerable than the "metrodome' fans. Losing 3 in a row here, and generally sucking has probably humbled some of them.

There is a fan on the Iowa Rivals board who every other year touts the greatness of driving from out of town, staying in Bloomington and riding light rail from the Mall of America as if this is some really unique way to fully enjoy a visit to Minneapolis and the U of M Campus!

My bicycle ride did surprise me a little as usually there are few lurking in overalls that check in to a hotel and start walking around by early evening. Despite poor to weak Gopher fan support since TCF opened, the reality is that the Iowa and Wisco attendance has dropped drastically since the Metrodome went away. In most years there have been available seats, yet the UW and UI fans do not show up.

This is what I love about college football. It's 7:30 AM est and I am on a message board watching video and chatting about winning that pig and how much I hate Iowa.

How freaking awesome is that?!?

All the talk this year about paying athletes and changing the NCAA and the Penn St. stuff still going on doesn't remotely compare to the pageantry and fandom of college football. I love it, the players love it, the coaches love it and if you are reading this, YOU LOVE IT!

Win the Pig! Kick Iowa's Arse! All will be right in the world...if only for a moment. Then, on to scUM and bowl eligible!

Who Hates Iowa? Who doesn't is a better question because EVERYONE HATES IOWA!

honestly, the site of iowa fans makes my skin crawl. they are the locust of college football fan bases, only one spot ahead of badger fans on the plague list.

The fans really really really need to bring their game today (especially since I can't be there).

The difference between offense and defense should sound something like this:

Go Gophers

Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and even the Strib's forum is a buzz with the fight for the pig. Post your tailgate photos for those of us that can't be with you today but are there in spirit.

Who hates Iowa? Everybody hates Iowa! Go Gophers!

From right before the SJSU game. Get pumped!!!

I don't believe we have worn maroon over gold once this year. wtf!

I woke up grumpy this morning and when my wife asked what was wrong, I said:
I HATE IOWA!

I hope we don't get so desperate as to put Edwards in there.

Also, i looks like there are a handful of students in there 45 mins to an hour before kick. Good to see.

Another shot of the student section:
