The game against Colorado marks the end of another home-and-home series for Minnesota. I wanted to see how the Gophers have done over the last few decades when it comes to playing Power 5 teams and here are the results back to 1970.

I feel like with a lot of these we either were set up against blue bloods or played teams during really good stretches. We had six series against USC, Nebraska and Oklahoma.

Also, had series against UCLA during their Terry Donahue era, Colorado in the 90s during the height of their program, Kansas State when Snyder was getting things turned around, Syracuse when they had McNabb and won three straight conference titles, Cal when Jeff Tedford made them a strong program and arguably Gary Patterson's best two TCU teams.

Thanks for compiling that information. Very interesting. I’m looking forward to the home-and-home games agains North Carolina and Mississippi State, and I’m glad we are playing some against southern teams and not just Midwest or PAC-12 teams. Keep that coming please.
