If you're not basketballed-out yet, the JUCO championship game is going on now (started at 8pm CT tonight). Howard College (TX) is taking on Three Rivers (MO).

Three Rivers, where Sprewell played before going to Alabama, leads 36-28 at the half.. but, Howard has shown they are capable of coming back in the second half of games.

Howard is led by Jae Crowder (#24), who will join Marquette next year with two remaining years of eligibility - he is flat out everywhere on the court. Jae had 15 first half points.

Howard also has a trio of Minnesota kids:
Carlos Emory (wearing #32 tonight) - he went to approximately 92 different high schools in the Twin Cities, but he can play. Solid contributor for Howard this year.

Joe Bright - played with Rodney at Cooper, gets quite a bit of time for Howard and has had some very good games this year.

Moses Sundufu - Hopkins

Off topic but ...

Good to see you posting a thread. It has been a tough few days.

I can't wait for next fall.

:)

Howard has a strong Minnesota connection because of assistant coach Jeff Mailhot

He coached Rodney his freshman season at Cooper and was at Hopkins the past few years and also a coach with Howard Pulley before getting the job at Howard.

Emmory is the kid to watch. He is so athletic, not quite Rodney but close. Gophers are well aware of him.
