MSU After the Iowa Game

The Detroit News has a page full of heartache about the MSU/Iowa game. It's not the "we're going to hell" covered around here but it's pretty interesting stuff.

That's quite a spread the Detroit News did on the game. The game certainly didn't lack for coverage. The writers/columnists did a nice job on all the key points.

Best college football game I've seen in quite some time. Those are the kinds of games teams win when they're having a special season, and Iowa is certainly having just that.

Michigan State is the best 3-quarter program in the country. It's too bad for them that college football games have four quarters.

That would only be fitting. In both 2003 and 2004 we lost to MSU the week after heartbreaking fourth quater losses to Michigan that spoiled undefeated seasons.

They are coming in here a wounded animal. It will be interesting to see how they respond.

Who has had more heart-wrenching late losses over the last couple decades: us or MSU? It's got to be close. I remember that MSU collapse against Notre Dame a few years ago.
