Ohio State’s Tanner Fritz and Max McCormick and Minnesota’s Hudson Fasching earn weekly honors
Ohio State forwards Tanner Fritz and Max McCormick and Minnesota forward Hudson Fasching have been named the Big Ten’s Three Stars for the week ending Nov. 10. Each week throughout the 2013-14 season, the Big Ten will name a first star, second star and third star to honor top individual performers from across the conference.
First Star
Tanner Fritz, Ohio State
F – Jr. – Grande Prairie, Alberta
· Tallied a conference-leading six points (one goal, five assists) in the Buckeyes’ weekend sweep of Niagara
· Recorded points on all four Ohio State goals (one goal, three assists) during Friday’s 4-1 victory
· Added a pair of assists in Saturday’s 6-1 win
· Paced all conference players with a plus/minus rating of +5
· Earned his first career weekly honor
· Last Ohio State honoree: Nick Oddo (First Star) on Oct. 29, 2013
Second Star
Max McCormick, Ohio State
F – Jr. – DePere, Wis.
· Led all players in the nation with four goals during Ohio State’s weekend sweep of Niagara
· Added an assist as the Buckeyes improved to 6-1-0 in their last seven games
· Scored two goals and picked up an assist in Friday’s 4-1 win
· Notched two more goals to help Buckeyes complete the sweep on Saturday
· Claimed his first career weekly honor

Third Star
Hudson Fasching, Minnesota
F – Fr. – Burnsville, Minn.
· Recorded two goals and an assist to help lead No. 1/1 Minnesota to a series split at No. 4/3 Notre Dame
· Picked up the primary assist on the Gophers’ lone goal on Friday
· Scored two goals during Saturday’s 5-4 victory
· Leads all Big Ten freshmen in points (11), goals (five) and plus/minus rating (+12) and has picked up a point in each of his first eight collegiate games
· Recorded his first career weekly honor
· Last Minnesota honoree: Sam Warning (Second Star) on Oct. 29, 2013
