Atlantic High School (Fla.) four-star wide receiver James Louis said today on his Facebook page that he wanted to join his high school teammate Donnell Kirkwood at Minnesota.

Kirkwood, a three-star running back, is already committed to the Gophers. Louis made an oral commitment to play for the Buckeyes last summer, but he visited Minnesota in October. He also visited Virginia Tech and Florida.

The 5-foot-11, 178-pound Louis said on his Facebook page this afternoon, " I wanna head out to minnesota with my brother DONNELL KIRKWOOD!!!"

GopherIllusrated.com is saying that it will likely come down to a signing day decision for Louis on Wednesday

No real news here. Its pretty amazing how fast word travels.

Do you think Marcus found his info on GH?

Will Kent be jealous?

Just goes to show you that we don't have any real reporters or writers in the twin cities.

I think Marcus said he found it on Gopherillustrated.

You could be right. From what I gathered, Marcus may have went to GI afterwords, and GI says it'll come down to signing day.

Crazy internet, which brings me to my next point...

Greetings.

Just a quick note here. Four-star wide receiver James Louis, a 5-11, 178-pounder from Delray Beach, Florida, has indicated on his Facebook page that he may be headed to the Gophers instead of Ohio State on Wednesday.

The nuances of today's electronic social networking never ceases to amaze me.

Louis, who got offers from a ton of BCS schools, including Florida and Alabama, was a high school teammate of running back Donnell Kirkwood. Indeed, on his Facebook entry, Louis indicates he wants to come north with Kirkwood.

Of course, we'll all have to wait until Wednesday's signing day to see if it is true. But remember, Gophers coach Tim Brewster and his staff have pulled off late surprises before. Last year cornerback Michael Carter was a late switch to the Gophers.

Stay tuned and have a good afternoon.

Now that ODB Kent has picked up the story as well.

Everyone knows whats going to happen, right? This kid is just messing around on the ol facebook and the media picks it up. A lot of people are going to feel stupid when tomorrow's (or Wednesday's) status reads:

"Fooled ya'll - I'm signing with the Toreros!"

It's going to happen

"Greetings" - Kent Youngblood

Every blog of his starts with that...
