Matt Treinor played both for Michigan State just a couple years ago. He was a TE/WR on the football team and pretty good and played forward for the BB team too....
 

Julius Peppers played football and basketball for UNC. It can be done.
 

Bobby Moore (Ahmad Rahshad) played football for Oregon. The Basketball coach at Oregon guaranteed him playing time if he joined the bb team as well. He declined saying participation in both sports would be so time consuming as to deny him having a "college experience." That was about 35 years ago.
 

Tubby At Georgia

Football player named Larry Brown played a key role for Tubby at Georgia in 1997 (I think, maybe 1996).
