We may finish in the top three in the conference if the projection of improvement indeed occurs. But, how do we measure the magnitude and likelihood of the improvement at this point?
As per us, this ranking business right now is based largely on the projection of improvement and the incoming class. What if there are bubbles in that projection and the evaluation of the recruits at the collegian level? What if it is an exercise of selective perception? Last thing we need may be the inflated expection that sets ourselves up for failure. Until I see some real evidence for the projections and evaluations, I would rather stay a bit less enthusiastic, not pessimistic, about them.
