They already have. 5 Level-1 violations, most of any school so far. When will Kansas get a similar notice?
This is separate of the escort scandal. So per NC's approach, if Louisville can just show they offered "escorts" to all the students, then they're fine, right?

Yeah, you have to wonder how it will work that Louisville could get sanctioned, while Rick could coach his little heart out at Iona.So many scandals, hard to keep them all straight!
Though crazy how slow the NCAA moves. Pitino already sat a year out, coached a year or two in Greece and how is coaching Jelly.
Go Gophers!!
I would be pretty shocked if Kansas, L'Ville, Arizona got any sort of actual punishment. Look at UNC with the academic fraud. The NCAA is a money machine, you think they want to put 3 of their top 10-15 programs on blast and essentially let it be broadcast that corruption is rampant in their sports? No way. Thats why they have the SMU, MN, and GA Tech's of the world. They slap those programs with stuff because it wont kill the brand but also gives the illusion that they actually care and have everything on a level playing field.

Would love it if everything was penalized for cheaters but it will never be a level playing field. Find a way to beat them, others have done it.I would be pretty shocked if Kansas, L'Ville, Arizona got any sort of actual punishment. Look at UNC with the academic fraud. Let's give all these schools draconian sanctions: something like taking away 1 schollie for a couple years a 1 year NCAA ban, and no team summer international exhibition tour! That will show them.
I'm guessing the above will be the equivalent punishment these schools will receive, regardless of the violations.
I think this is correct and i think KU will get sanctions.Going forward what happens with Kansas, I think, will be the most telling in terms of how NCAA is viewed with regard to doling out penalties. KU has 5 Level-1 charges. That’s 3 more than any of the other schools that already have received NOA.
If both Kansas and Self get severe penalties (multi-season postseason ban, multi-year (at least 5?) show-cause for Self), we’ll know NCAA now means business. If not. ...
I think if Rick tries to show his face at Williams Arena again, he'll get booed.Yeah, you have to wonder how it will work that Louisville could get sanctioned, while Rick could coach his little heart out at Iona.
I’m sure people look at Minnesota and think we are a scum program thanks to two major recruiting scandals. At least Louisville has two national titles.Scum program. Too bad as Pitino is a great basketball mind but cheated from Hawaii through UL.
Where was the scandal in recruiting? Didn't we violate academic rules for active players? Unless you are indicating they were promised to have someone do their academics for them by the coaching staff prior to signing to play for the gophers, was that the case?I’m sure people look at Minnesota and think we are a scum program thanks to two major recruiting scandals. I do not think people think Minnesota is scum. In fact they hardly think of us at all.I’m sure people look at Minnesota and think we are a scum program thanks to two major recruiting scandals. At least Louisville has two national titles.
I do not think he will get booed. This is a fan base that still cheers for Adrian Peterson for whipping a child. Besides it would be disrespectful to Richard to have the crowd booing his father even though there are more than a few boo's for Richard right now.I think if Rick tries to show his face at Williams Arena again, he'll get booed.
Musselman was a cheater for the ages and caused two years probation for the program by having over 100 violations and Haskins had people taking tests and writing papers for his players. And Clem was protected by McKinley Boston, then the Vice President of Athletics , who only reported to the President Mark Yudolf.Where was the scandal in recruiting? Those are not part of this program for over a generation. It is one of only i few things about the program that i am proud of, we are clean.Musselman was a cheater for the ages and caused two years probation for the program by having over 100 violations and Haskins had people taking tests and writing papers for his players.
