I don't get this one. Seems like a step down. Florida has slightly better talent than Texas, he already built FSU into a perennial title contender and already one it there once , they have more tradition etc. The only thing A&M has over FSU is the fact that they can say they play in the SEC. Better facilities too I suppose.
Maybe he just wanted a breath of fresh air and a new chapter in his life.

Don't forget Jimbo is a friend to the U's Masonic Children's Hospital. Their son has Fanconi Anemia, and the U does major FA research.

Ethan rocks that Dubnyk jersey very nicely!
Things with the Tallahassee PD may not be what they used to be for the Noles. Might be a good time to move on for Jimbo.
His son goes to Houston regularly for treatments, and that will now be a 1.5-hour drive instead of a 2- or 3-hour flight and all of the flying-related headaches.
Oh, and he's also getting a gigantic raise as part of what is reportedly a 10-year deal.
1 & 1a reasons to move.
And the raise he's probably getting.

I've been a Noles fan since the late 80s. I in no way wanted him to go, but understand his reasons. This year shouldn't be held against him, and it looks like A&M sees it that way.
So Brewster is set to step in as FSU head coach?
Doesn't seem logical to me after signing an extension less than a year ago but he must have some good reason$. Maybe getting away from the ex?

What was their deal this year? No QB?

What you can't win games without a competent QB? When did this blasphemy occur?!?
Jimbo under-achieved this year, that's all there is to it. I had him as a 11-1 coach.
If you compare his record to the record LAST YEAR, you'll see he was a much better coach last year.
I'm not saying Jimbo should be fired, but I'm going to spend the next 100 days polluting this forum mocking anything he says or does.
Is Jumbo Jimbo's obese brother?
