Great interview with Jon Christenson on the Sports Huddle at 11:00am.
Talked about academics. He will complete work on his Masters' Degree in public health in May, and plans to go to Med School.
Talked about how he paid his own way through school his 1st two seasons, and was down to $200 in his checking account and was ready to drop out of school and get a job when Kill told him he was going on scholarship.
Was very complimentary about Kill. Talked about how Kill tries to keep team with positive attitude - don't dwell on loss, but work on improving and getting better. Also talked about how Kill stresses academics.
Highlight - talked about how, when he came to U, (rough quote) "a lot of the Brewster players were still here, and they weren't very dedicated to academics." Basically threw Brewster under the bus for recruiting kids who didn't go to class.
Asked about his health, said he's getting better. the rotation with Bjorklund is helping both players from getting too beat up. Said he still believes they can win any game they play. Said he feels they can beat Michigan.
Just a tremendously impressive young man.
