I wonder if they'd consider redshirting David Cobb.

Next year would be a better year to redshirt him, because Rodrick Williams will be in the mix (he's redshirting this year). And no running backs will have graduated from this year.

Kill said junior linebacker Brendan Beal broke a bone in his hand last week but is still expected to be ready to play in the opener. Beal missed last season because of a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

I don't know about the "should be starting" but I think it might be a bit easier to crack the two-deep in the slot than WR. Green and DCT are banged up, but should both see a lot of looks. Moulton and Fruechte are both out there.

As far as in the slot, it's just Jones and Harbison, right?

You don't redshirt a junior, unless it's a medical redshirt where you apply for it after a season...
