Weber now 100th of 100 QBs. Their guy 86th; Gophers 113th in total offense; ISU 75th.

So.... basically you're saying the final score will be along the lines of our 1800's games? 0-6?

Having gone to multiple games for both teams, and trying to be completely objective, I'd go with the following:

QB - Iowa State, slight edge
RB - Iowa State, pretty big advantage
OL - Iowa State, slight edge
WR/T - With Decker out, pretty even, maybe ISU very slight edge (With Decker, it would be big Minny advantage)

DL -Minnesota advantage
LBS -Minnesota slight edge (better athletes)
DB - Even

Kicking - Minnesota advantage (ISU has had mulitple blocked FG's & Extra Points)
Punting - I'd guess Iowa State slight edge (but don't remember anyting about Minny Punter)

Rest of Special Teams - Even

Overall Talent - Minnesota advantage
Coaching - Iowa State advantage

Again - Not basing this on any stats, etc. These are just my thoughts based on having seen (in person) both teams play multiple games.

I see it as a close game - but glad we have it. It will be interesting to see if Weber is pulled at any point if he doesn't produce. If he's hot, we should win, though the Cyclones will be scrappy. Much better game for us than Texas Tech - and a great place to visit over the holidays.

Minnesota #1 in Big ten punting stats. A minor advantage.

I think this is a great matchup. Personally I'd rather see us play a team obviously better than ourselves just so we can gauge or 15 days of practice better. But it would be nice to come away with a win in a competitive game such as this too. I'm ok with it.
