Besides Cobb's long run it's amazing how well they were able to bottle up our run game especially considering they allowed 330+ on the ground to lowly Purdue the previous week. Wiscy or even OSU didn't do as good of a job as the Illini did in stopping our run game.

The flu had hit many of the players about mid week before the game. Friends who made the trip said players were throwing up on the sidelines. Even by watching the 60 minute version you can see the lack of sharpness in the Gophers play. Probably our worst tackling game of the season.

Also recall the flu and vomiting that was going on...even noted during the radio broadcast pregame and during the game?
Regardless, to the team's credit they left that one behind them and had a very strong November. That's a huge shift that will have to be the norm from now on out residing in The West.
